Pollinator Habitat at the Monument

Join the National Park Service and the Friends of Casa Grande Ruins
Saturday, November 16th
from 10 to 11 AM

to kick-off a new community-based project to establish a pollinator habitat at the monument.
The pollinator habitat will be located near the picnic area
and will be planted with native flowers that provide nectar or pollen for a wide range of pollinating animals,
including bees, butterflies, moths, birds, and bats.
The habitat will include a range of flower types that are known to naturally occur at the monument
or nearby and that will attract a variety of pollinators.

The November 16th kick-off event will highlight the importance of establishing
sustainable habitats for pollinators and provide information
on some of the opportunities for visitors and community members to participate in the project.
